We need a few brave volunteers to plan our 50th reunion. I can't speak for everyone,
but I know Rose Marie Giambrone and I (Adrienne Dunham B.) have retired from the
reunion planning business. We just about drove ourselves and each other crazy
planning the 45th reunion. Twice we absolutely got miffed with each other and I had to
tell Rose Marie that we would get over it. It wasn't like she was trying to steal my first
born or my husband - it was just a disagreement over the planning of the reunion. But
reunion planners need to be flexible, keep their sense of humor in a handy place, and
be prepared for a multitude of things to go wrong. If you don't have email capabilities, it
will make planning about 100 times more difficult. Above all, give yourself plenty of time
to do the planning and organizing of the event. Start at least six months in advance.
Even a year in advance wouldn't be too soon to start.
